Join one of our 3 day Learn to Surf Programs and have loads of fun, meet new friends, gain fitness and valuable Ocean Awareness. Our popular School Holiday Programs will get you safely up and onto your first wave before you’ve had time to worry about falling off. The perfect way to get into the sport of surfing which won’t break the budget. Designed for anyone who wants to give surfing a try. We promise to give you an authentic taste of surfing, useful safety information about waves and the beach, and a smile that you won’t be able to wipe off for hours!

Our Learn to Surf lessons cover all aspects of learning to surf including, beach analysis, rip identification, safe board handling, correct paddling technique, perfecting the pop up, importance of surfing stance and how to paddle onto waves. All Illawarra Surf Academy staff are Surfing Australia Level 1 qualified, hold current surf rescue certificates, and have Working with Children’s Checks.

My 10 year old daughter has been learning to surf through these guys and she's had an absolute ball. They make it fun and enjoyable for the kids but teach them also beach safety etc. My daughter looks forward to summer approaching so she can head back!
